I was very undecided about posting this. It's a quick pencil illustration, produced last weekend while I was at work. All done from the imagination except for the twenty pound note, which has since been spent.
The illustration will accompany a story called 'Legacy' (by Liza Granville, I think). The female character was described as looking like Botticelli's Venus and she marries for mercenary reasons.
This is so getting fav'd. You know for a simple sketch its really really good.

Thanks. This time I was trying to rip off Botticelli, the other times it was not intentional ... it's a shame that I didn't have a Botticelli to look at when I was drawing it If I'd thought about it, I could have got D to pose for me with her long locks of wavy hair
Thank you very much. I nearly didn't post this because I thought it wasn't that good. I am not a very good judge of my own work Many thanks for the fav
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
