Extremely technically challenged at the moment ... some of the problems, perhaps, resolved

10th May - Hehehe ... Ask Ami where his task bar went!
I'm good, I'm really, really good. Ami's just come home from work and noticed his task bar is missing. I was hoping I might get away with making it disappear. I made him one out of a cardboard strip, drew the clock on it and all (OK, the clock looked like a pizza). Writing 'Start', 'Task bar' & 'Anime is crap' might have given the game away that it wasn't a functioning task bar but a bit of a cover up job. I think he can see the funny side of it. And I forgot to put his shirts in the wash.

I'm experiencing a host of technical problems which I suspect are connected to Mozilla Firefox. I have re-installed it a couple of times and it will work fine for a while until it forces an update on my browser which I can't avoid getting. It's mainly affecting my being on DA. For a few days, DA wouldn't load properly and I could only get the white base pages and none of the usual layout - this has improved in that my user page looks normal now, but the message centre is still not fixed, I can't add anything to favs and I can't full-view images. It's making viewing deviations impossible. If I log in when I'm at work, DA works fine, and this is why I suspect it's down to the browser I'm using at home.
On top of this, my Wacom tablet's died (I had been using the stylus rather than a mouse). When I attempted to use my former wireless mouse, it wouldn't work. I'm now using Ami's mini Wacom tablet and all this is causing further problems with boxes appearing on my monitor without my prompting, when I try to close them, they freeze on the page. I'm hoping matters will improve on their own accord, but I suspect I need to buy a new mouse (no time for shopping though).
Thank you so much for your wonderful responses to my recently posted deviation, "A Symphony for Persephone". It's the first finished work that I've posted in a long, long time. I'm doing my best to keep up with comments, which is very challenging because of the technical issues. I know if I don't try and keep up, I'll be battling my inbox forever more trying to reach comments and messages. I don't know how I'm going to deal with the devwatch if I can't fav your beauties, that is sorely testing me as I don't want to delete the work after commenting and miss out on faving it; and yet, by saving the images for another day, the number of deviations is rapidly increasing. I've decided to have an ongoing feature in my journal where I can add the thumb images of deviations I would fav if the faving system would work for me, and then adding these to my favs when the problem is finally fixed (it may be a DA bug affecting mozilla firefox users, for all I know; so let me know if it's a problem you're experiencing too).

UPDATE: I've tried logging in using internet explorer, and suddenly all those buggy issues I was having viewing DA have vanished. So it is a browser problem. I can fav and full view again ... and send no more blank notes (sorry Dash!)

Your portraits are so very nice. They have such a wonderful life about them.
And I just want to add that worm's Armageddon is just so much fun!
